
Welcome and hello! I am a registered holistic nutritionist, living in beautiful British Columbia who is passionate about helping women improve their gut health. I have always been interested in health and wellness and would spend hours of my spare time reading about every health topic. My curiosity led me to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where I studied to become a registered holistic nutritionist. Since graduating, I’ve loved sharing the knowledge I gained to empower women to take charge of their health through the power of food.
I struggled with my weight for a long time, along with every single digestive symptom imaginable. My gut was so out of whack that I was bloated constantly, no matter what I ate. My mental health, hormones and energy, were all negatively impacted resulting in 50lbs of weight gain. The weight gain led me to experiment with trendy low carb, high protein, high fat diets out there. These diets provided quick, but temporary results, along with unknowingly damaging my gut. When I wasn’t following the latest diet trend, I drank alcohol and ate processed foods, furthering the damage. This led to drastic fluctuations in my weight over the years. It got to a point where no matter what diet I tried or how much I exercised, I was not losing weight. I was miserable, defeated, and did not feel like myself. Everything shifted once I became aware of how important your gut health is and how it impacts your hormones, your mental health, and your overall health. After learning how to eat for optimal gut health, I was finally able to drop weight and balance my hormones again. My mindset shifted from “must diet to lose weight”, to “choose whole foods and plants first, that’s what I need to feel my best”. My digestion improved because of the added fibre and nutrients. My energy increased and I felt lighter, less anxious, and less irritable. I was no longer experiencing multiple headaches and migraines each week. My skin cleared up and my eyes even got brighter. It took consistency and dedication but I am in a place now where I no longer obsess and stress about food. It’s because of this that I truly believe when you become aware of how to eat for your gut, you will experience these benefits.
It’s easy to get lost in the overwhelming and conflicting information that exists nowadays. I help navigate through the noise so you understand what your gut truly wants so you can shed weight and feel like your best self. My mantra for my clients and myself is “consistency over perfection”. Meaning that it is only when we build in small consistent healthy habits and routines into our lives, that bigger positive change happens.
